Hi all,
I am looking for good deals on LARGE laptop harddrive.
For example:
http://www.newegg.com/product/produ…
Primarily I am looking for laptop hard drives with capacity >=160GB, hopefully >200GB, because limited capacity has already been bottleneck for my work — every a few months I have to worry about my harddrive capacity and I have to move things around, which is very inefficient in terms of productivity. I can always burn CDs or DVDs, but I’ve found those are not reliable, there can easily be scratches on the CDs and DVDs so they won’t be able to read. I can also put everything on the 300GB harddisk on my PC, but sometimes I want to carry laptop around and hopefully those files are with me all the time.
So it turns out the only solution is to make a one-time investment and buy a LARGE laptop harddrive. Does anybody know where to find good deals on laptop harddrive >=200GB? I am using a Toshiba M4 Tablet PC. I want to find good deals yet reliable, since harddrive is vital.
Could anybody find me a good deal which is >=240GB? Many thanks!

newegg.com would probably be your best bet. Tigerdirect use to be good. But go with newegg. If talking storewise…go with bestbuy or circuit city.
You won’t find anything beyond 160GB, and you are definitely SOL if its a SATA drive. Don’t be so anal. Prioritize your stuff and offload half of it. If you have it packed to the gills, performance will suffer. If you must have it all with you, then buy an external USB notebook drive enclosure (cheap) and put a 160GB drive in there and you can have 320GB total.
Well if you have been looking around i am sure you know by now that large hard disk for Laptops are hard to find at any type of savings, just to new and the price is still to high, what i do to solve this issue is buy a USB external drive and case or you can compress your files on your present hard disk will some time double the size of the hard disk….
